Please help! I am an honor student and Ambassador to an east coast community college. I would like to go to medical school back in California, but I am affraid that I do not have the required caliber of: physics, chem, bio, etc. classes to do well on the MCAT. Therefore, will I need to major in philosophy or polotics (which interest me as much as medicine) inorder to jusify a low score on the MCAT?

I bought the "Kaplan Comprehensive review" book for the Mcat, but I did not get very far until I realized I was insufficiently educated!

I am transferring into my Junior year at a University but how far behind will I be? I took 1 semester of: Bio, Chem, Calc, and received A's but will I be able to get all my pre-med requirements in by my senior year and submit mcat scores on time?

My plan is to buy a text book that corresponds to each subject, and learn on my own. But the Kapplan, like every other study book that is not a school text, is just a REVIEW.

I need to take the Mcat before the end of my junior year or at the beginning of my senior year, will I have time to take the rest of my pre-med classes and take the test by beginning of Sr. year?

What can anyone recommend?
