Im sorry you guys I typed that wrong. I was reading this article about Plastic Surgeons and it said that they make about 380,000 yearly.Iwas wondering is that the minimum or does it depend on which state you are in?

According to the Association of American Medical Colleges:

The annual salary for plastic surgeons ranges from $153,000 to $410,000.

It doesn't specify location, but salaries definitely vary by location.

Doc Admin has a link someplace that gives the average salaries for all types of specialties. But suffice it to say, YES, it depends a lot on where you work. And how much you work. And how good you are.

You didn't ask, but here are my two cents on the salary topic -- If you are looking at medicine for a big payday, go to business school instead. Med school plus residency equals ~7-9 years of your life. B-school takes 2, and is easier.

I don't say that to dissuade someone (unless they are only about the money), since I am in med school, myself. But it is a long haul, and there are many easier ways to pay the bills.
